Prepare clean, dry mane in your usual competition plaits. No special preparation is needed.

Step 02
Set the cylinder
Slide the piece in at the top of the braid so the stone sits at the base, facing out. Hold the metal body rather than the stone.
Step 03
Secure & check
Fasten the piece, then give it a gentle tug to check that it is secure before entering the ring.
Between appearances
Keep the finish.
Cleaning
Wipe after each use with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, use a little lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Dry fully before storing.
Storage
Store each piece separately in its soft pouch, away from other metal jewellery. Choose a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight.
Handling
Hold the cylinder rather than the stone when fitting or removing. Fit onto clean, dry, freshly plaited mane and check the fastening before every appearance.
What to avoid
- Solvents, polishing chemicals and abrasives.
- Leaving a piece wet or storing it in damp conditions.
- Pulling on the stone when fitting or removing.
- Storing loose with other metal jewellery.
